I'm trying to find my purpose in life. I'm looking for something that sets my soul on fire. I want to lead a life of purpose. I want to be happy. I'm still not sure what all of that will look like. I still don't have all the answers, but I have made a point of trying to find people in my life that I find inspiring. People that I can learn something from. People who make me want to challenge myself and my limits. People, who inspire me to be more, do more with my life.

One of those people is Troy Downhaniuk.

I wrote a very short blog about Troy a few weeks ago. I had run into him in a hotel lobby on my drive out here to Edmonton. Troy is doing this amazing thing with his summer. Instead of taking a few weeks vacation and going to a beach or relaxing in front of the TV, Troy is bicycling across Canada to raise money for Sick Kids Hospital.

This may not seem like a huge deal to some of you, but I drove some of those roads to get out here and I can't even fathom taking them on while riding a bicycle. The weather in the mountains can change on a dime and the heat of this summer has been intense. Troy deals with all of it. He wakes up with a smile on his face and gets on his bike no matter what.

He's doing this because he wants to raise $50,000 for Sick Kids Hospital. He decided to take on this herculean task for the summer because he wants kids with cancer to have better lives. He wants to help research and patient care.

Troy found something he was passionate about and went out there and did it. He is making a difference in the world and leaving an impact. The money he raises for Sick Kids will help hundreds of kids with their cancer care. So please give and help him reach his goal of $50,000 at www.projectsthatmatter.ca.

Providing the weather cooperates he will finish his journey tomorrow, a full three weeks ahead of schedule. This is one hell of a feat. Follow him online to watch what amazing things he decides to pour his heart and soul into next.

Over the next few months I will randomly be posting about people who I meet or people that I know that inspire me. People who I think can inspire you as well.

Life is about finding your purpose and being happy!
